It's been a big week for pups and Quill. Pups moved out from their puppy room to a large play and sleep pen with separate elimination area. Located between our kitchen and living room, pups are now central to the household activities and getting used to human and canine traffic and the sounds and events of daily life. Pups are also getting their sharp baby teeth and have started weaning off of Quill's milk with meals of goat milk, plain pumpkin puree, and full fat plain yogurt. Quill is spending less time with the pups as she works to lessen the amount of nursing they do, but she still really enjoys cuddling and playing with them. Adults Elka, Flute, and grandma Kit are all eager schnauzer "aunties" vying for the attentions of the babies.
AuthorI'm Brooke. I am crazy about showing and very occasionally breeding standard schnauzers. My kennel name is Chimera, which is both a mythical beast and a foolish idea! Archives
